Made in June – Week 1

In keeping with both the Make it, Wear it challenge AND the newly joined Summer Essentials Sew-Along, I’ve been quite busy this week!

Another way to wear the skirt: elastic folded under and a tiny belt! Also, the two worn together (is it too much?)!

Earlier in the week I took an old striped Target T-shirt from my charity shop donation pile and scraps from an old T-shirt of Trent’s and refashioned it into a tank top with a faux-placket…  perhaps I’ll add buttons…  Now if only it were a warm enough climate for tank tops!

Also, I made a tote bag from tea towels using the Made By book by Andy Murray (not the tennis player)…  Suzanne’s shop (Eero & Riley) is going to be selling the book and selling the fab Gillian Kyle tea towels so we decided to make some projects from the book for display in her shop!

And lastly for this week, I finally finished a cardigan that I started back in May.  The pattern is Audrey in Unst by Gudrun Johnston.

I hope to have more pictures of it soon (better pictures, closer detail shots) in a bit, but the cardigan is technically still blocking (its been drying for days!)… The pattern is just great, very well written with clear quite directions!

So productive! (Do you ever sleep?) Looks like your photographer wasn’t on the job this time.

It all looks great. I esp love the tea towel bags (hard to believe those are tea towels).

Wow….you are inspiring me to get moving! I like the skirt and top together, and apart! Lots of versatility! Will it be too summery for your September challenge?
    Keep ’em coming, girlie!

I LOVE the floral fabric! Have seen the cardi in person and it’s lovely.
